in Soviet Russia, the young Misha Galkin is in a public park at night watching the stars. Suddenly, the stars change in the contour of the head of a cow, which turns and looks at him. In today’s Russia, Misha (Ed Stoppard) has grown to become a top marketing executive to work with Bob Gibbons (Jeffrey Tambor). When Bob niece Abby (Leelee Sobieski) is visiting from the U.S., warns Bob Misha to keep their hands off the girl, but despite warning from Bob, Abby and Misha adrift in a relationship. Misha says Abby various curiosities about the history of marketing, such as Vladimir Lenin invented the modern marketing, and that communism was the first truly global brand.
Meanwhile, in a private Polynesian island, an unnamed marketing guru (Max von Sydow) will meet with the managers of fast food companies. The guru tells them to make profitable fast food again, have to change the public perception of beauty and “make new fat and fabulous.” An unseen narrator voiceover says companies pledged to carry out the plan of the guru.English Movie Branded2012
In a series of documentary-style flashbacks, narrated by the same narrator invisible, we see Misha used his natural marketing savvy to gain a poor employee at a marketing executive. Misha big break came when she met Bob, an American hired to disseminate Western brands and businesses in post-communist Russia.
