Seeking a Friend for the End of the World 2012The world has three weeks until impact, at which all mankind will be annihilated. Dodge Petersen (Steve Carell) and his wife Linda heard the transmission from the side of the road. Seconds later, Linda flees the car without saying a word.
Dodge returns to a nearly empty workplace the next day, which sells insurance. While everyone around him reacted differently – constant medication for guilt-free sex – Dodge’s life has not changed at all. After attending a friend’s party, Dodge returns home to remember your high school sweetheart, Olivia, when she realizes her neighbor Penny (Keira Knightley) crying in the fire escape. She admits that she just ended a relationship with her boyfriend Owen (Adam Brody) to make her lose the opportunity to see his family in England. Upon returning to his apartment, Penny gives dodge a handful of letters he received from him, but they failed to deliver – indirectly is telling his ex-wife Linda was having an affair.
Dodging storms at night, cough syrup and high consumption of Windex in a suicide attempt. The next morning, however, he regains consciousness with a note on his sweater – read “sorry” – and a dog tied to his foot. Takes felt at home and open your mail, surprised to receive a letter from Olivia, his girlfriend of the former school. On the same night, a riot breaks out. Abandoning Owen amid protesters, Dodge tells Penny who knows someone who could take her to England if she helps him find Olivia first. She agrees and the two set off.
